SUBJECT:BUS STATION SLASHING SUSPECT CAPTURED


The suspect in the September 7th slashing of a female clerk inside the Travel Center at 22 State Street has been apprehended.

Eric Means, Jr., 21, was captured at a Bronx apartment at about 6:15 this morning by the New York-New Jersey Regional Task Force (consisting of members of the New York Police Department, New York State Police, New York State Parole and the U.S. Marshals). Information developed by Schenectady Police detectives lead to his capture.

Means was returned to Schenectady, and was charged with Attempted Murder-2nd degree, Assault-1st degree and Robbery-1st degree. He was arraigned this afternoon in Police Court and is currently being held in the Schenectady County Jail.
