SUBJECT:SUSPECT IDENTIFIED / SOUGHT IN FEB 28TH FIRST NIAGARA BANK


A 28-year-old Rotterdam man has been identified as the suspect who robbed the First Niagara bank at 1742 Union Street at about 3 p.m. Monday afternoon.

A white male entered the bank and handed a teller a note announcing the robbery. The teller gave the man an amount of money and he left the bank in an unknown direction.

Robert Centofanti is currently being sought. He is 510, 215 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes. At the time of the robbery, Centofanti had long hair tied in a ponytail, was clean-shaven, and was wearing a dark brown leather coat and tan boots.

It is unknown where Centofanti is. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call 374-7744.
