SUBJECT:ARREST MADE IN BRANDYWINE & ALBANY SHOOTING


As a result of an aggressive investigation conducted by detectives in the Departmentís Youth Aid Bureau, an arrest was made this evening in connection with the shotgun shooting that occurred late Sunday night at the corner of Brandywine Avenue and Albany Street in which 4 teenagers were injured. Beavin Robinson, 16, of 949 Albany Street, Schenectady, has been charged with 4 counts of Assault-1st degree (a felony). Robinson is currently being held in the lock-up at Police Headquarters and will be arraigned in Police Court tomorrow morning. The investigation has determined that the incident was not gang-related. The confrontation that occurred Sunday night was a continuation of an altercation that occurred in early August between Robinson and the male shooting victim. The investigation is continuing.
