Detectives continue to investigate the shooting of 3 men that occurred inside the Olympic Diner on Brandywine Avenue at about 5:40 this morning.

The victims have been identified as 19-year-old Akeem Boynton, 23-year-old Ishmael Robinson (both of Schenectady) and 21-year-old Teren Day (unknown address).

Responding officers found Robinson with a stomach wound inside the diner. He was treated at Albany Medical Center and released. Boynton was located at Furman and Becker Streets and treated at Ellis Hospital for a gunshot wound to the foot. He has also been released. Day was driven to St. Clare’s Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg and was admitted. His injury is not believed to be life threatening.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years old, about 5’5” tall, 135 pounds. He was armed with a semi-automatic handgun.

It is still unknown what precipitated the shooting or if the victims and the shooter knew each other.
