SUBJECT:SUSPECT SOUGHT IN JAY STREET STORE ROBBERY

Detectives are investigating the robbery of a Jay Street business that occurred at about 1:30 this afternoon.

A black male was looking at merchandise inside Two Spruce Pottery at 175 Jay when he walked behind the counter, pressed an unknown object against the female clerk’s back and ordered her to open the cash register. She complied and the suspect removed an amount of money that is not being disclosed. He then ran from the store in an unknown direction. The clerk was not injured, and there were no other employees or customers inside the store at the time.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30-35 years old, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds, with short hair. He was wearing a dark nylon jacket.
