Detectives are investigating the robbery of Stoney’s Pizzeria at 1902 Van Vranken Avenue that occurred at about 8:45 this morning.

A black male entered the store through a rear door and confronted the lone employee inside. He demanded money from the register and the employee’s wallet. After the employee complied, the man fled through the rear door. The robber did not display nor imply a weapon, and the employee was not injured. The amount of money taken in the robbery is not being disclosed.

The suspect is described as being 19-25 years old, about 6’2” tall and 200 pounds. He had a large Afro and a chubby face, and was wearing a waist-length black leather jacket.
