SUBJECT:MAN SHOT IN LEG LATE SATURDAY ON MYNDERSE STREET

Detectives are investigating the shooting of a 27-year-old city man who was shot in the leg by an unknown gunman on Mynderse Street late Saturday night.

Shortly after 11 p.m., Corinth Snipes was walking with two friends when several shots were fired in their direction, one of which struck Snipes in his right thigh. The gunman was not seen, but reportedly got into a small blue or green car at Mynderse and Victory Avenue and fled.

When the shooting occurred, two patrol officers were on nearby Hulett Street and responded to the scene when they heard the shots. They were not able to locate the shooter or the car.

Snipes was treated at the scene by Schenectady Fire Department paramedics and transported to Albany Medical Center. He was expected to be released sometime today.

Snipesí companions were not injured in the incident.
