At about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday evening, we received a call for “shots fired” in front of 845 Stanley Street. Upon arriving on the scene, officers found several bullet casings in the street, but nobody on the scene that was involved in the incident.

Shortly thereafter, we received a call from St. Clare’s Hospital advising that a female shooting victim had just arrived there in a car occupied by several black males. After hospital personnel took the victim inside, the car sped away. The car was later found parked unoccupied on Willow Avenue.

The victim was apparently shot twice in the back while sitting in the rear seat of the car on Stanley Street. She died at about 1:15 a.m. At this time, we do not know her identity, or who was with her in the car at the time of the shooting or when she was dropped off at St. Clare’s. She is black and appears to be in her teens.

Detectives are investigating.
