Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred at 21 Frank Street at about 8 p.m. Friday night (January 9th).

Two black males wearing ski masks forced their way into the home, which was occupied at the time by Charles Scott (36), his 37-year-old wife, and their 3 children (11, 6 and 11 months). One of the subjects shot Scott several times, and then both men fled the residence. Scott was treated at the scene by Schenectady Fire Department paramedics and then transported him to Albany Medical Center, where he died shortly after arriving. Scott’s wife and children were not harmed during the incident.

We do not believe that this incident was a random act. Detectives are trying to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

There are no suspects at this time.

No other information is available at this time. Any updates will be sent via a News Release.
